I might roast another chicken.

I checked the Swedish weather site (SMHI) this morning when I woke up and it said that we would have a cloudy day with around 0C (32F) until the evening. It also said that the weather we had had was cloudy and -1C ( 30,2F). So is anyone o You surprised if I tell You that it was a clear night and the temperature was -8,4C (16,9F) 🙂 🙂 🙂 We have also had a day with almost no clouds at all and it hasn’t been warmer than -3,3C (26F) 🙂 🙂 🙂

At least they were wrong in the right way for once 🙂 🙂 There were a few clouds in the sky so I actually thought they might be right for the rest of the day, so instead of going out on the bog as I would have liked we went out on the fields instead. Later on when we were about to go out again and out to the bog hunters arrived so we haven’t been out there today.

It was pretty chilly so Albin had some problems with the cold snow and cramps but he continued happily on our walk after I had warmed them up and Sune had problems with snow getting caught between his toes but I had to force him to stop so I could help him to get rid of it 🙂 🙂 He loves the snow  so he ran around like crazy all the time even if the snow did annoy him every now and again. They are both now sleeping beside me. Sune just by my feet and Albin close to the radiator.

Canadian geese.

I’ve done my chores and can relax for the rest of the day. My kitchen still smell roasted chicken from yesterday and I might do one more today. Albin eats plenty and will continue to do so until he has gained weight again. He’s still fine in his stomach so I have high hopes he will get back his lost weight soon. Any way, it is time for me to get something to eat even though I haven’t lost any weight I need to get back 🙂 🙂

Have a great day!

  1. Hi Christer,
Lovely photos today. There’s one with the fog drifting down the valleys. It looks as though there is land and sky and then more land above the sky and more sky above the floating land. Very mystical.

Better the weather report is wrong in the right direction than right in the wrong direction. I’d rather the sun at this time of year even if it has to be a bit colder than they said.
Speaking of which, you posted that paragraph in Swedish on FB and the auto translation was wonky. It said you would be moaning instead of overcast. I plugged it into Google Translate and selected the correct translation. Apparently when you do that in Google Translate, it fixes it back on the site you copied it from. Also I always thought FaceBook used Bing to translate. Interesting.

It’s been sunny and relatively warm here today. We’ve been out sunning ourselves on the front steps a few times as well as wandering around the yard getting muddy. The snow is disappearing quickly and revealing all the dog poop that were snow-covered the last time I cleaned up. I cleaned those up today, too.

Enjoy the smell of roasting chicken and the rest of the day.

    1. Hi Caryn!

I do like that photo too. I went out a tiny bit too late because most of the ground fog had started to vanish when we reached the fields.

Yes I was very happy that it was wrong the right way for once 🙂 🙂 and since there was no wind it was quite nice.
For once I didn’t moan because of them being wrong so it’s fun that it was translated that way 🙂 🙂 It’s amazing that it worked that way! I didn’t know that and like You I was sure they used Bing! I always translate Portuguese on Google after it has been translated in Fb because the translation on FB is usually crap 🙂 🙂 So it’s strange that it translates so bad on FB if it is Google that translates text there too?

Our snow will melt soon too because warm winds willarrive on Wednesday.

      Have a great day!

      Christer.

      1. I did some googling and discovered that Facebook ditched Bing in December 2015 because they saw that Bing was programmed to work on properly written text and had trouble with slang, idioms and metaphors. Facebook developed its own AI translation program and is using it exclusively. When Facebook is confident its translation is perfect, it automatically shows just the translation with an option to “See Original”, and only shows the opt-in “See Translation” button when it thinks it might have errors. So that explains why your post in Swedish was hidden. However, FaceBook AI thought its translation was perfect when it definitely needed more work. I thought hubris only infected humans. 😀 And it doesn’t explain why my Google Translate edit showed up on the Facebook post.

    1. Hi shemann!

I’ve been lucky enough to never have to go through a root canal but I’ve picked up friends from the dentist just after they have gone through one and it sounds just nasty! I do hope it isn’t too bad now!

I’ve started to eat less chicken since I have started to make it for Albin, I’m so tired of chicken now 🙂 🙂 I do like it a lot though so if he can eat the latest dog food I’ve bought I might start doing it to myself too again 🙂

      Have a great day!

    1. Hi Beatrice!

We haven’t had such a cloudy winter since they started reporting the weather here 🙂 🙂 So it is pure luck that I finally can show some blue sky 🙂 🙂

I’m glad Albin loves chicken because it looks as if that’s all he actually can eat, so all chicken I roast goes to him 🙂

      Have a great day!

      Christer.
