They predicted sunshine here today, both the Swedish and Norwegian weather site and they are still saying we have sunshine here and I guess we have somewhere above the thick fog 🙂 It did actually look as if the sun would break through for a while but the fog fought back and seems to have won a total victory 🙂
I had hoped for some sunshine but I won’t complain too much since we got the second best instead. Just plain grey and dull had however would have made me complaining loudly all day long 🙂 We got some snow last night and that helps to amplify the light so it almost feels like daytime 🙂 The long period of cold weather they predicted yesterday seems to have been shortened quite a lot and now they also think it won’t be that cold after all, is anyone of You surprised 🙂
I don’t have any plans at all today, besides walking with the dogs I might do some laundry but that can wait until tomorrow if I don’t feel like it today. I’m thinking of making pancakes for dinner today, easy to do and so tasty 🙂 Tomorrow however I’ll fry some of the chicken liver I bought yesterday, I think I’ll use my Wok because it fits perfect on my wood stove. I should have bought some reindeer meet yesterday but couldn’t find it but I did find a nice winter squash, some fine mushrooms and red onions. I’ll make enough for work too but first I’ll put away some of the fried chicken liver to Albin (well the other two will of course get some too).
I think it is time to take another walk but the dogs don’t seem to think so. We were out for over two hours this morning and it looks like they prefer to sleep instead 🙂

They predicted sunshine here, too. Guess how accurate that was. It’s cloudy and dull with not even snow to make it seem brighter or fog to make it interesting.
And it’s bloody cold, too, which doesn’t improve anything for me, at least. I just left a discussion where people were whining about how un-wintery it was and how much they loved really cold weather. These are not my people. 🙂
It’s probably time to take another walk here, too, but all of us are curled up on the couch in various stages of lassitude. Maybe later. 🙂

Mostly around 32F today but now the temperature is dropping so it might be a rather cold night. I think that if it is cold the sun should shine, grey, clody and cold is just too bad.I’ve never been a winter person so I’m happy when we get warmer winters, too bad it also means more tics and moose flies.
The walk was very short because suddenly all the hunters showed up, I didn’t mind though 🙂

Hi Christer! I am playing catch up today! 🙂 Actually what I want to do is go back to sleep (see previous post) but there are things to be done! We are having sunshine today! Did you get my email with the link the other day about our weather? I sent you a link with one of our local news stories. Maybe it went to your junk mail? We are due to warm up this week coming – just as I am leaving! And it looks like where I am going to there won’t be much joy for seeing the aurora. It is supposed to be cloudy most of the time. That just figures – it is my luck!

The sky cleared up here after the sun had sunk behind the horizon so we might actually get the sunshine they predict for tomorrow 🙂

you really haven’t had much snow this winter have you? i’ve pretty much given up on winter this year. i try not to mind too much because teddy doesn’t like the cold anymore in her old age.

No we haven’t. We haven’t had much snow three winters in a row now but this is so far the less snowy winter.
It is getting a bit late for You to get any winter at all I guess but I’m with Teddy 🙂

Igår sas det att vi skulle få sol här med, men det var jättemolnigt. Men man var inte förvånad precis! 😦 Helt plötsligt bröt dock molnen upp och solen tittade fram. Det hände precis när vi va ute och tog en skogsprommis med Santos på eftermiddagen och var underbart skönt. Man fick en känning av att våren inte är så långt borta!!:-)
Sen på kvällen var vintern tillbaka för det snöade lite igen, så man blev förvånad i morse när himlen var helt klarblå!! 🙂 🙂

Ingen känning av våren här nu på morgonen, -9, solsken och vindstilla. Ingen vårkänsla men riktigt skönt ute ändå.
Det fanns ett moln på himlen och det var naturligtvis tvunget att flyga framför solen ett bra tag men på det hela är det rätt molnfritt nu liute senare igen.

With the snow and the fog, it really does look wintry.
On gray days, I find it difficult to feel much like doing anything. I’d much rather laze around the house doing nothing. Today was sunny, and I actually got a lot done. The second load of laundry is in the dryer.
Your dinner sounds wonderful. I’m not cooking. I bought winter vegetable soup already made. Where I bought it makes the best soup so I’m looking forward to dinner. I also bought some coconut ice cream and hot fudge sauce for dessert. That is one of my favorite desserts.

Yes grey and dull days just suck the energy out of me, I do what I must but nothing more. Good nap days though 🙂
It is too far to bring home food from take-outs here, everything get cold before I come home and it is no use in bringing ice cream either since it will melt before I get home 🙂 I prefer hazelnut-vanilla ice cream 🙂
