We’ve had one of those days that has been so grey and cloudy that it never really seemed to start. The daylight didn’t have a chance to pass those clouds so it has felt like we’ve had early evening al day today. Still there was no wind and the temperature just below 0C (32F) so it was still quite nice when we were out walking. The hunters came early so instead of walking in the forest we went out on the fields. I really can’t complain about them being here today because they have mostly been on the other side of the forest most of this season.
It hasn’t been the most eventful day in my life 🙂 We have mostly been indoors napping in front of the tv and today I did the laundry too. I still have a few things to wash tomorrow but that won’t take long. I should have vacuumed the floors but I just don’t have the energy to do it, I’ve never been this tired any winter before. I guess it might be a cold that won’t break out for some reason but still makes me tired. I do wish it would change its mind because I’m tired of being tired 🙂
The sowing season has started :-), well it did two weeks ago when I started with the kernels I got from Caryn. They are from Prunus maritima or Beach plum and I haven’t found them anywhere even though I have looked a lot. So guess if I was happy when she sent me a lot of those kernels 🙂 They need to be kept moist and warm for one month before it is time to place them cold. Today I was going to sow kernels from what we call sour cherries (Prunus cerasus), they taste sweet at first and the after taste is a bit bitter. The only thing is that I can’t find them 🙂
I finally remembered that I’ve put them in one of those plastic containers I get my film in (for the old cameras), now I only have to remember where I put that container 🙂 It’s really annoying when I can’t remember where I put things or when I think I know but still can’t find what ever it is 🙂 I will find them though and thankfully they don’t need a month in a warm place so I still have plenty of time to find them 🙂 Later today or tomorrow I’ll go to my favorite seed firm, Gardens North, in Canada. It is specialised in plants growing in tougher climate zones. No I’m not paid to tell You this, I just like that business so much that I gladly write about it here.
I don’t think there’s anything good on tv tonight so I better find myself a book or perhaps see if I have any dvd I would like to watch.
Have a great day!
