It’s time to put up the bird feeders.

All photos shown today was taken either yesterday afternoon or much earlier in the year. This is the hunting lodge, not big enough to let more than a few people in but they are making an outdoor space where one can have a fire burning and grill hotdogs 🙂

I’m at home today, I have a little fever and is coughing some and my nose is runny and my throat hurts a bit and I’m a tired. It’s nothing to a near death experience like it usually is with us men but I can still get there 🙂 The weather this morning has mostly been cloudy with some drizzling but at the moment I can see the sun shine through the clouds like a white dot in all the grey.

 

It had been so cold during the night that there still was some ice on the puddles even if I took this photo around 1pm.

The Pope is visiting Sweden this week, I’m not a catholic so I really can’t understand how important this is for some people. To me he’s just a rather cool guy who many has opinions that doesn’t seem to be the same that the Catholic church has but he really doesn’t change anything within the church as I see it. Change comes slow in such a big organization though, after all it isn’t that long since they accepted that the earth was rotating around the sun and not the other way around. Well, he’s welcome and I hope everything goes well.

We went upstream the creek towards the lake.

I need to put up the bird feeders for the winter. I had them hanging on a rack I made from old lilac trunks but they got old and it all fell down in the last strong wind before spring came. Now I’m thinking of somehow managing to hang the feeders in the big lilacs  but the branches aren’t that strong and the lilacs have grown a bit wild so there isn’t that much space in between the branches to be honest. It’s a good spot though because the lilacs give the birds protection against the goshawks and sparrow hawks. It is also close enough to the cottage that those hawks won’t have lots of space to maneuvering to reach them.

 

It looked like the little water there was in the creek didn’t move at all.

They have now changed the snow predictions, both the Norwegian and Swedish site. The Swedish says some snow on Wednesday but mixed with rain big parts of the day and the Norwegian says rain. The snow they predicted for the weekend is gone on both places. I must admit that it doesn’t bother me if the snow won’t come at all 🙂 I can survive a winter that is warm and snow free without any problems at all 🙂 Especially November is dreary as it is so a snow free November would just be a positive thing 🙂

 

They had actually made this “bridge” much better this time. Worked perfectly for me but not at all for the dogs.

The only good thing with this November is that the first of Advent is on Sunday the 27th, that’s when one can say Christmas, or Jul, starts here in Sweden. That’s when we put Advent candle sticks and Advent stars in our windows and Julmust with gingerbread are a must 🙂 and the closer to Jul the more homes will start to burn down because people tend to forget putting out the candles before leaving for work. Another tradition is to burn down the biggest straw goat in the world. They build one every year in the city of Gävle and for some reason it has become a tradition to burn it down. It is od course illegal but the ones doing that obviously don’t care. There are lots about it on the net if You are interested 🙂
