I have to admit that we’re having a quite wonderful autumn weather right now, despite the rather strong wind. The sun is shining and the wind isn’t cold at all. I can’t say that it is warm either but it cools me down rather good when walking in the sunshine. It wasn’t that nice when we went out this morning though, it was rather cloudy and the wind was pretty cold to be honest. I had no wish of going in to the village since the wind would have reached us everywhere so we went out to the bog again.
The hunters must have gotten what they wanted because I haven’t seen them since Tuesday morning so I guess we’ll be able to walk in the forest even on weekends now unless they decide to hunt wild hogs but I haven’t seen a single track from those since before summer started. I don’t mind the pigs as long as we don’t walk in to each other too often 🙂 I always talk loud with the dogs when I know hogs are around, they do prefer to keep away from us if they can.
We walked on those places we usually do out on the bog so I know that we’re out-of-the-way for hunters from other groups. The wind blew so hard that big spruces hit each other and squeaked. Albin who never have heard the trees talk like that got really scared and stayed close to at least one of us all the time. We also scared away a moose, I didn’t see it but heard how it ran away and saw some absolutely fresh tracks on the ground 🙂 Besides from that the walk was quite uneventful.
I had to scold Albin twice today and used my voice of thunder to make him understand how bad he had behaved. First I caught him standing on my livingroom table drinking my cocoa and I was so loud and looked so mean that he ran upstairs 🙂 The second time I caught him eating the cat food, on the kitchen table! I was even louder that time and it took a while until he was allowed to come in to the livingroom where we were. I’m not sure if he learned anything from that because he still looks toward the cat food drooling at the same time 🙂 He has however listened to me very carefully when we’ve been out on walks again 🙂
I’ll start the lights down in the cool cellar later today. The passionfruit vi´nes wasn’t damaged by the frost we had, they are much hardier than one might think, and I think some other plants might be alive too. I normally have a timer down there to turn the lights on and off but it has been a cheap one that works as it pleases 🙂 Sometimes it has had the lights on for days and sometimes just for a few hours 🙂 So until I can find a reliable one I’ll go down there myself to turn them on and off.
Tomorrow will be cloudy and we’ll get some rain too, even the Norwegian site says that so I guess the chances of it happening is quite big. A Danish weather site predicts we’ll get a nasty cold winter after November. They have said more or less the same things for years now and we’ve gotten warm winters instead 🙂 So my guess is that we’ll get a warm winter once again 🙂
It is time to get those potted plants down into the cellar and after that I’ll have some coffee.
Have a great day!
